PE & Sports Premium
The Government is providing funding of £150+ million per annum to provide new, substantial primary sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school head teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
The aim of this funding is to continue the sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Games with schools being given the freedom to choose how to spend the money in order to improve PE and sports provision in their school.
At Abbey Village, we recognise the importance of providing a high quality physical education programme within which pupils develop physical competence and confidence and are given opportunities to be physically educated and become physically literate. Within our physical education provision we also aim to promote personal development, health and well-being, enjoyment, success and achievement of all pupils across the whole curriculum and beyond.
We are committed to delivering quality PE for every child as well as providing a wide range of enrichment opportunities before and after school.
